The Midget-Mite Mentor Program is hitting the ice for the 2025-26 season!

This program is designed to provide mentoring, support, and leadership from our Hawks Midget players to our younger Phantoms players. Together we will focus on fun, teamwork, sportsmanship, respect, and responsibility - putting into practice what it means to #BeAHawk and #BeAPhantom.



Mite players will be matched to a Midget mentor, giving them a hockey buddy to connect with, receive advice from, and cheer on. Midget players will have the opportunity to hone leadership skills, build their volunteer resume, and give back to the sport that has provided them so much. Our program continues to establish our roots as a hockey community, not just a hockey club! #EverythingYouthHockeyShouldBe.

SAVE THE DATE: Our kick-off Midget - Mite Meet & Greet Event will be the evening of Monday, November 17 in the Darien Sportsplex lobby. More details to come!

Highlights of the program include:

Kick-off Meet & Greet Event (Nov. 17) Midgets & Mites meet each other, eat pizza, complete a Get to Know You exercise, take pictures, etc.

Holiday Skate Event (Dec. 17) Hit the ice for an hour to play games and share some Holiday cheer, and more.

Year-end Midget-Mite Game (Feb.)

Midget/Mite Night at Games We’ll designate a game or two for Midgets or Mites to pack the stands and cheer on their matched player.

Midget Night at Practices Midget Mentors will get an opportunity to help their Mite develop on the ice, assisting in mini skills sessions.
